Ft. Worth, TX -- Jaron Stewart, in his first ASRA start, was able to motor away from the field on the final restart to grab his first win of the year. The margin was over 10 seconds, but not all of his doing. A rash of wrecks that gave damage to every competitor but Stewart aided him in his win.
Ricky Sisk Jr., Nick Teto, Ken Rork and early leader Josh Boyer all had to retire because of a crash. Alex Faust, who led 12 laps, spun coming on to pit road and damaged the front end heavily. Roger Nebelsick was caught up in two accidents but was able to finish second.
Even with Faust finishing third, he kept a strong 10 point lead due to his third place qualifying effort. Stewart has not said whether or not he intends to run the full schedule, but if he does, he intends to be a contender every week.
